Meet the MayorMayor Steven W. Miller
Steven W. Miller began his term as Mayor in January 2017. He lives in Holly Springs with his wife, Heather, and their two children. He was elected President of the Cherokee Municipal Association in March 2019.

In addition to serving the residents of the City, he also serves the residents of the County as the Assistant Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Cherokee County Development Authority. 

In 2022, Mayor Miller was elected to serve as the District 3 President North of the Georgia Municipal Association representing cities in Cherokee, Cobb, Fulton, Gwinnett, DeKalb, Douglas, Rockdale, Fayette, Clayton, and Henry counties. 

About the City's Form of Government
The City operates under a council/manager system. The Mayor serves as the chief executive officer and represents the City at various functions. Mayor Miller presides over City Council meetings and makes appointments, with ratification by the City Council, to the City's various committees and boards. In his absence, the mayor pro tem assumes all responsibilities of the mayor. The mayor pro tem is recommended by the mayor and ratified by a majority of City Council. The current Mayor Pro Tem is Councilmember Michael R. Zenchuk II.
