Open Records Requests

The City of Holly Springs believes that transparency and accessibility are key principles that any government agency should uphold in order to effectively serve its community. We strive to provide residents and interested parties with access to public records in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70, the Georgia Open Records Act.

The City Clerk serves as the records custodian for the City of Holly Springs. All open records requests should be directed to the City Clerk, who is responsible for overseeing the release of public records and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Submitting a Request: To inspect and/or receive public records from the City of Holly Springs, please complete our convenient online form. This form allows you to specify the records you are seeking, ensuring a more efficient and accurate response. We encourage you to be as specific as possible in your request.

Exemptions and Redactions: It is important to note that certain records may be exempt from public access under the Georgia Open Records Act. If the records you request fall under these exemptions, you will receive written information detailing the reasons for non-disclosure. In cases where only portions of the records are exempt, the exempt information will be redacted along with information detailing the reasons for non-disclosure.

At the City of Holly Springs, we value your interest in accessing public records and are dedicated to fostering confidence in our local government through transparency and compliance with legal requirements.
