Current 2021 Tax Digest and Five Year History of Levy

The City of Holly Springs sets the millage rate each year following a public meeting. The City of Holly Springs will set the 2021 millage rate on September 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. following a public meeting.

Pursuant to OCGA § 48-5-32, the City hereby publishes the following presentation of the current year's tax digest and levy, along with the history of the tax digest and levy for the past 5 years.

Property Taxes

Property tax bills are mailed in October each year.  Taxes payments are due December 20, 2021.

If you have sold this property, forward the bill to the new owner and fax a copy of the settlement statement to 770-345-0209.  If you have an escrow, forward the tax bill to your mortgage company as soon as possible.

Homestead Exemptions

To receive this exemption, you must live in the house as of January 1st of the current tax year, and paperwork must be filed by April 1st.

The City of Holly Springs provides a homestead freeze exemption for municipal purposes in an amount equal to the amount by which the current year assessed value of a homestead exceeds the base year assessed value of such homestead.

In addition, the City of Holly Springs provides an exemption for seniors, age 62 years old or older, in the amount of $409,900 on the fair market value of the house.
