SPLOST Reports

Pursuant to the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (OCGA) § 48-8-122, each local governing authority receiving proceeds from special purpose local option sales tax (SPLOST) shall maintain a record of each project approved in the referendum and shall publish annually in the newspaper and on the website a report summarizing the following items:

  • original estimated cost
  • amounts expended in prior years
  • amounts expended in current year
  • excess SPLOST proceeds
  • estimated completion date
  • actual completion cost

The City of Holly Springs uses SPLOST as local match on a variety of approved capital projects. The reports summarizing the required information above  are presented with total costs incurred including grant proceeds from the Georgia Department of Transportation, Community Development Block Grants and local funds.
